Mr. Norikazu Kuramoto, the Head of the ROCB A/P, along with Mr. Jaemin Cho and Mr. Louis Chan, the Program Managers, actively participated in the ASEAN CCC ROCB A/P Consultation at the 40th Meeting of the ASEAN Coordinating Committee on Customs on 8 May 2024, in Bangkok, Thailand.

During the meeting, Mr. Kuramoto delivered opening remarks and a comprehensive presentation on the ROCB A/P's capacity-building initiatives in the Asia-Pacific region. He also addressed participants' queries regarding e-commerce, green customs, and the WCO FTA. The ASEAN participants and the secretariat well received the ROCB A/P's capacity-building endeavors.

In his closing remarks, Mr. Kuramoto expressed gratitude to the ASEAN Secretariat for the invitation and encouraged all ASEAN members to submit their technical assistance needs in the Annual Needs Survey of ROCB A/P. He also called for future collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat and increased engagement in initiatives such as the Customs Capacity Building Working Group (CCBWG).
